Your email inbox may have been flooded with loads of emails from facebook about latest happenings, friend requests, game invitations, etc. everyday. It's a boring task to delete these unwanted emails daily when you haven't set any filters in your mail account or opted out of the email notification from facebook account setting. But you don't have to worry now.
Starting from today, facebook is turning off individual email notifications. Means you will not receive those unwanted emails from today. Instead, facebook will send you a summary only if there are any popular stories you may have missed. However, if email notifications are your primary preferences to stay updated then you can turn the individual emails back on by going to your account setting at facebook and restore all your original settings at any time.
